How to Obtain a Refund or Exchange

For Items Purchased at a Visions Electronics Retail Store
If you would like to make a refund or exchange of a product purchased at one of our retail stores, simply bring the item into any of our retail stores and ask an associate for assistance. We will verify that the product being returned meets the criteria listed below and will be happy to process your refund or exchange.

For Items Purchased on the Visions Electronics Online Store
If you would like to make a refund or exchange of a product purchased from our online store, you can either bring the item into any of our retail stores and ask an associate for assistance, or you can contact us for an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number to arrange to ship the product back to us and have us process your exchange or refund remotely. Please note that in the event that the product is being returned due to a defect in the product, or in the event that we have made an error of some sort in processing your order, Visions will be happy to pay the costs of the shipping back to us and reshipping a replacement item to you if applicable. Understandably, in the event that there is nothing wrong with the product and we have fulfilled the order correctly and a return is requested, then the customer would bear the costs of the return shipping charges.

To obtain an RMA number please either e-mail webadmin@visions.ca or phone 1-866-530-3363, and provide your order number (which was e-mailed to you with confirmation of your order) along with a list of the items which you would like to exchange or return. We will contact you shortly with a unique RMA number and shipping instructions to return your item. Packages returned without an RMA number will be refused. Your RMA number is valid for 14 days.

The Details

We require that products returned for exchange or refund be in “like new” condition and complete with all packaging, accessories and manuals.  If not, we will charge a nominal restocking fee.  Home office products, GPS units, and radar detectors are non-refundable, but of course can be exchanged under our normal exchange guidelines if there is a problem with the product. All delivery and installation charges are non-refundable once the service has been rendered. Any car audio labour that is purchased and not used, is only valid for year from the date of purchase.

Exceptions to this: (1) cellular phones cannot be returned after 15 minutes usage; (2) satellite systems and cable boxes cannot be returned once they have been activated; (3) consumable items (examples include toner, ink, drum cartridges, batteries, fax paper, etc.) are not returnable for credit and are subject to a restocking fee equivalent to the replacement cost of the items; (4) due to copyright laws, any opened software product such as movies (DVDs or Blu-ray Disc), games or computer software may only be exchanged for the same item; and (5) as stipulated by the Apple service agreement, any opened iPods must be returned to Apple for service or exchange.

In order for us to process any refund, exchange or price protection request, we will require your original Visions Electronics receipt. Air Miles reward mile points are awarded at the time of purchase at the rate of 1 Air Miles reward mile per $40 spent, before tax. Refunds will result in the deduction of the applicable Air Miles reward mile points against the revised purchase price, before tax.

Please note that unless you have purchased a refurbished product (which will be clearly specified at the time of your purchase and on your invoice), Visions Electronics only ships brand new, factory sealed products from our online store. This is done to eliminate any possibility of miscommunication when a product is being returned for refund or exchange. For items returned to either a retail store or mailed in, we will verify that the product meets the criteria listed above with regard to original condition and packaging. Once we have verified this, we will be happy to process your refund or exchange (shipping or delivery charges are non-refundable). You can expect your refund to be processed within 5 to 7 days of us receiving the product.  Product which does not meet this criteria will be subject to a nominal restocking fee, or be refused for refund or exchange.
